Are there other collections planned for SeminaryLibrary.com?
SeminaryLibrary.com was designed to accommodate any number of collections as they become available.

What kinds of books are in the collection?
The Logos Digital Archive contains the same books that would be found in a seminary library. In fact, they are the same books. The books are actually scanned in seminary libraries on the basis of their copyright date.

What criteria are used to develop the collection?
The selection of the books is a reflection of the selection of the seminary library where the books are scanned. The goal is to move the scanning operation to libraries of various theological persuasions in order to insure maximum diversity.

Are there pictures, maps and charts in the books?
Since the books pages represent actual photographs of the printed page, all charts maps and other information is completely copied.

Can I cut and paste text?
Since the user is working with a graphic image it is not possible to cut and paste full text. Using screen capture software however, a user could cut and paste a graphic image of the selected text.

What is the future of the collection?
The collection will continue to grow as long as users continue to support the system with subscriptions and renewals. There are more than forty thousand titles already targeted for the future.

Can I define my own collections for searching?
Yes.

Are MARC records available?
Yes, MARC records may be viewed or exported.

How often is the Logos Digital Archive updated?
The plan is to update the archive at least once per month.

Is it possible to have a free trial?
Free trials are available only for libraries and institutions.

Will copyrighted works ever be available?
In all likelihood, yes. The most likely initial candidates will be publisher’s backlists which often include books still in copyright but out of print.

Will other collections ever be offered?
Yes, the plan is to offer additional collections requiring additional subscriptions. It is possible for other existing digital library collections to be ported to our system in the future.

What titles are available?
Users may browse the entire catalog.

What searches are available?
We support two searches. The first is a catalog search that matches terms in bibliographic data.
The second searches the text of the book.

Is Logos claiming copyright on the compilation?
Logos claims “All rights reserved.” This is to say we claim rights to everything that may be legally protected under copyright law.
